According to new radar data obtained by Reuters, it appears that missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 may have potentially landed on one of many remote islands in the Indian Ocean. The radar data indicates that the flight was following a series of “way-points” leading towards the Andaman Islands. However, a Boeing 777 is no small plane. Landing a plane of this size without being detected by at least one person would be a near impossible feat. With the search’s size moving from a “checkerboard to a football field”, the fate of Flight 370 is and will probably remain unknown for some time to come. Some others believe that the flight may have been diverted to either Pakistan or North Korea (Both of these locations may have been within their fuel range). According to U.S. officials, it now appears that the plane was intentionally turned off their two transponders communicating with the ground control.
